Disco
What is Disco?
Disco is a platform that focuses on interoperability, privacy, and autonomy in identity management. It aims to provide users with a personalized "data backpack" that holds various identifier cards representing membership, affiliation, licenses, education certificates, and other non-financial data about themselves.
With Disco, users can own their own identity and selectively present their credentials to verifiers, such as institutions or employers, to unlock access to specific content or prove their identity. The platform is chain-agnostic, allowing users to take their portable credentials anywhere, and does not commit personal identifiable information (PII) data to public blockchains.
Disco uses cryptographic proofs to verify users' identities in milliseconds, without the need for writing to the blockchain or purchasing cryptocurrency. The platform emphasizes trust and does not ask for users' seed phrases or to sign malicious messages.
