iden3
What is iden3?
Iden3 is a decentralized identity protocol designed to provide privacy and security in trust-minimized environments. It allows users to generate and manage their own self-sovereign identities, and enables the creation and verification of zkProofs (zero-knowledge proofs) to prove access rights without revealing personal identity information. Iden3 also includes features for authentication, authorization, and communication between identities, as well as a mobile ID wallet app and SDK for easy interaction with Web3 applications.
The protocol supports a multi-identifier ID model and verifiable claims and documents to create an ID profile, and includes a decentralised naming service and key rotation and recovery capabilities. It is designed to be interoperable with DID (Decentralized Identifier) and Verifiable Credentials standards from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
